Medical Marijuana: Some Medical Benefits of Cannabis Part One

There are many diseases that cannabis has been scientifically proven to treat and even reverse.  So, why does legislation STILL refuse to make it legal in all states? The truth is that most state governments want to decriminalize marijuana. It's the federal government that won't allow it.
I recently watched a documentary about a group of people that grow weed on their own private land in California.  They are all approved by the state to grow medical marijuana.  The law in California is that this is acceptable, however it is still illegal on the federal level.  So, basically what this means is that, despite the laws in their state,  federal law trumps state law, so the state law is pretty much irrelevant.
Weed has been proven to help ease pain and anxiety in HIV/AIDS and cancer patients.  It is a very good fix for nausea because you don't have to swallow weed to feel the effects.  It is also able to help them create an appetite and gain weight.
You may also be shocked to learn that morning sickness in pregnant women can be safely treated with cannabis!  This is helpful for the same reason as it is for cancer and HIV/AIDS patients: it can be taken with a vaporizer in order to bypass the gastrointestinal system.  Studies performed in Jamaica proved that there were no noticeable differences in newborns whose mother's used weed during pregnancy and those whose mother's didn't.  That being said, why is weed considered so much worse than alcohol when alcohol can damage and even kill a baby inside a mother's womb?
There are many more treatments that I will be discussing in an additional post tomorrow, but look at the evidence I have already presented!  Marijuana can't be that bad if you can smoke it during pregnancy and not hurt your child, can it? So why is it such a huge deal?

Take a quick look at this printer while you're at it. It's a pretty good deal!
